Hi – I’m Max Mayfield, Hurricane Specialist for Local 10. I plan on writing occasional blogs on various hurricane topics that will be of interest to all residents of South Florida.
Future topics will include reasons for the lack of tropical cyclone activity in July, the need for developing hurricane plans for individuals and businesses, hurricane hazards for South Florida, the importance of local officials, the need for a national disaster network, observing tools for forecasting, accuracy of forecasts, the importance of research, and other issues suggested by viewers.
